Mokha Center and Forward Thinking Sign Memorandum of Cooperation to Advance Peace Efforts in Yemen

The Mokha Center for Strategic Studies has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the British organization Forward Thinking, aimed at unifying research efforts and strengthening dialogue initiatives that support pathways to peace in Yemen.
The memorandum sets out cooperation across multiple areas, like: conducting joint research studies, organizing local and international seminars and conferences, issuing periodic research reports, and implementing mutual training programs for staff and trainees, with a particular focus on humanitarian and human rights issues.
It also emphasizes the establishment of practical implementation mechanisms, including the formation of a joint committee, the exchange of data and information, adherence to professional confidentiality, and the amicable resolution of any disputes.
The signing took place alongside a seminar titled “Yemen in Light of Regional and International Developments” , which gathered researchers and experts from Yemen and the United Kingdom. The discussions examined the origins and regional and international dynamics of the conflict, the role of Yemeni women in peacebuilding, Yemen’s representation in Western media, and potential future scenarios for the crisis.
The event concluded by stressing that achieving sustainable peace in Yemen depends on the consolidation of justice and national partnership, and on building a state capable of protecting the interests of its people and leveraging its strategic location
